The first edition of the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) held at the massive Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia attracted over 25 000 participants from 86 Nations. The theme of the conference was “MEETING THE CHALLENGES FOR ASIA GROWTH”. The importance of Asia in global energy mix was highlighted.
The 4 day programme, (March 25 to 28, 2014) covered: 2 Executive Plenary Sessions, 10 Panel Sessions, 53 Technical Sessions and 10 Country Specific Sessions. It was impressive to see the major players in the oil and gas industry from all over the world gathering at a venue trying to showcase their products and services, sharing ideas, discuss new technology innovations and brainstorming on the way forward for the industry.
Over 200 companies occupied the exhibition halls both within and outside the Convention Centre.
Right from the opening ceremony to the closing remarks, the whole programme was well packaged. For the 3 participants from PPNL, there was not a dull moment. The programme was a big success.
